“Santa Got Stuck In My Chimney” Santa got stuck in my chimney On the night of Christmas Eve He should’ve been drinking milk with cookies Sadly those sweets he didn’t receive Santa got stuck in my chimney It probably gave him quite a scare He kicked and he kicked but he couldn’t get free Lucky for him I was there Santa got stuck in my chimney We tried but he couldn’t get free He pushed and I pulled but it didn’t work I couldn’t do much I’m only three Santa got stuck in my chimney It probably gave him quite a scare He kicked and he kicked but he couldn’t get free Lucky for him I was there Santa got stuck in my chimney Then finally santa hit floor He thanked me for my help and put down the gifts Just like that he was out the door Santa got stuck in my chimney I tried but no one would believe They told me that I was just silly But for me I have that memory Santa got stuck in my chimney It probably gave him quite a scare He kicked and he kicked but he couldn’t get free Lucky for him I was there Santa got stuck in my chimney In my little house in Delaware What would happen if he never freed But lucky for him I was there |

Reflection
Get Amped. It is an interdisciplinary project that includes world language, humanities, english, math, science, and tech. We had to pick a culture based on our language that we take, which for me is Spanish so I decided to choose Columbia. Then we had to choose to make music that is either lyrical or instrumental using technology based on our country. The type of music that I closely related my own to is Cumbia music. I also only created a Cumbia instrumental piece. We also wrote a research essay with information on culture, and how science, math, and humanities have to do with sound and perception, as well as sound waves and how it affect one and another. We then used our woodworking skills to design and build an amplification device. We also created another visual piece which varies from student. Mine personally was string art in the shape of a guitar to match my amplification device. With this project I learned how to better by research and writing skills, analyze different sources and be able to document them, determine sine waves and quantitative relationships, examine other cultures, and use software to create part of my end product. I had some amazing learning experiences from this semester that I’ve had the privilege to be apart of by being in this program. When I put my mind to something, I follow through, and if I am passionate about it the end product is always so satisfying. I get show and to see how I’ve grown as a student and person, and how I persevere and make changes based on reflecting from my failures. I have taken my learning to the next level, because I didn’t do what I had always done , I did what I hadn’t done before and this lead me to a final product I never could have seen myself doing.
